Within The Mob

Chrys Fey is doing a fun little blogfest for her release and, since the cat is booked until next November, I figured it would be best to do it here. Even if I am a few days late. Blame the OCD as posts go Monday here.

If I Were A Mobster…

I wouldn’t be a very good one as I’d have no minions left. I’d be such a paranoid SOB that if anyone looked at me the wrong way they’d be chucked in the river.

The only way to survive would be willing to do whatever it takes. So one would have to eliminate any threat no matter how small. I’d have a good stock of bullets. Of course I’d probably shoot myself in the foot in real life, but this is what if, right?

Plus I’d be slick and be the boss without anyone knowing I’m the boss. The boss would never be seen and I’d act like the top flunky. That way the whole ominous feeling would be there and the other flunkies would trust me, thinking I’m one of them, and I could learn more about what they were up to. If they try and pull a coo, sleeping with the fishes they’d go. I could also learn what the law knew that way easier too, as they drag me in and try to pitch a deal to get me to flip.

So my OCD and paranoia would keep me on the ball and hopefully alive. Until I shoot myself in the foot that is. I think I’ll stick with writing. Would you make a good mobster?

Enjoy life, forget the strife.

30 SECONDS BEFORE BLURB:

Blake Herro is a cop in the Cleveland Police Force. Ever since he was a child he wanted to do right by the city he loved by cleaning up the streets and protecting its citizens. Red, a notorious mobster, has other plans.

On a bitter December night, ten police officers are drawn into a trap and killed by Red’s followers. Blake wants to bring down the Mob to avenge his fallen brothers and to prevent other cops from being murdered. Except the only way he can do that is by infiltrating the Mob.

Every minute he’s with these mobsters he’s in danger. Around every corner lies the threat of coming face to face with a gun. Will he make it out of the Mob alive or will he be their next victim?

Paranoid, maybe. But as a Mobster chucking everyone into the river who looks at you the wrong way, you’d have quite the body count. πŸ˜‰

Not revealing that your the boss is a good idea.

Thanks for participating in my Mobfest!

You and Barney Fife would make a good team πŸ˜‰ But then, he’s not allowed more than one bullet, so that does make you the Boss!

Please stay away from loaded guns. It would be a good idea to keep that you’re the boss a secret.

I doubt I’d make a good mobster; but my fictional alter ego Veda would be awesome. Spies are more successful than most. A fast car and intricate network is a must. You can be part of my network with all that sneaking around you’d be doing πŸ™‚

Shoot yourself in the foot… Well if you stay away from guns and take up another form of weaponry, your foot may just survive. πŸ˜‰
