A Most For Least

Today the questions get rolling, or maybe just the answers to the questions that have already rolled. Will there be more than one question? Nope. Since I asked that there is now two. Could be more. Could be less. Either way with your brain I may mess. See? Now you thought I was the cat. Nope. Still under little old Pat. Blame the question for it. What question? Oh another question. That makes three after this comes to be:

What are your favorite and least favorite questions people ask you about your writing?

Can they all be least? Pretty please. Can please even be pretty? That’s one for the cat. Right. I better get to it. You have to go and make a list for the “magic” day of things you aren’t going to do anyway. Pfffft. Maybe I should yap on and save you the trouble. Nah.

Hmm…in no particular order:

How do you come up with ideas?

Would you write like that for me? We could split the profits from my great idea that I don’t want to write.

How much do you make?

Do you make a lot of money?

Aren’t you afraid people will hate it?

Why do you write?

Where do you get all the ideas?

Did you make a lot of money?

Can you share some ideas with me?

Are you going to quit your day job?

I think you get the picture. If not, don’t ask me to draw it, that would just confuse you more. Was there a good question in there? Umm…depends on the asker? Nah. Most are bad. Bad all the time. Especially when they go on and on and on. Notice how it all comes back to money or “would you do the work my lazy butt can’t?”

Ever get any questions like the above? Got any you would add? Pffft is what they get these days. They can go play with their “magic” day and I’ll be on my way.

Enjoy life, forget the strife.

I get a few of those, but mostly, “How do you find time?” and “When will the next one be done?” Happy 2019, Pat!

Yeah, those are the common ones.

Why do people ask how much we make? Like that would be an appropriate question for any other job…

Yeah, weird how they only ask it for writing

Hey, Pat! I followed the link over from “It’s Rhyme Time.” I love that link. One thing you don’t lack is ideas! I get a lot of “Why do you write?” Non-writers can imagine so many other things to do that they think are more fun and more “normal.” My favorite head scratcher is my husband, but he indulges me with lots of coffee, even as he shakes his head. As for asking writers how much they make, that’s plain rude and obnoxious. Wishing you all the best as you push the boundaries with writing this year!

haha the link was just for you indeed. Yeah, more “normal” seems to be the way.
